BA Postal League, December 2007

The Portsmouth round of this month's BA Postal League was shot on Friday 14th December.

Arundown's score of 2621 was narrowly beaten by this month's opponents, Harlequin Bowmen A, with a score of 2625. That would have been a nail-biter in a head to head match! So after two rounds we have one win (3 points) and one loss (1 point) for a total of 4 points and a total score of 5240.

Our team score comprised:

  • Graham Brown 537
  • Jon Stafford 535
  • Hamish Matheson 534
  • Russell French 532
  • Liz Bowyer 493
Also shooting on the day were John Nolan (490), Rod Brown (453) and Richard Cobden (439).

The Frostbite round was shot the following Sunday, 16th December. Arundown's score of 1438 proved too good for our opponents, Derbyshire AC B, who recorded 1113. A good result after conceding a walkover in November. We now have 3 points from two rounds.

The Arundown team score comprised:
  • Jon Stafford 302
  • Graham Brown 300
  • Russell French 296
  • William Martin 276
  • Rod Brown 264
Also shooting on the day were Liz Bowyer (248) and John Nolan (194). Thanks to everyone for turning out in the bleak midwinter.
