BA Postal League February 2008

This month's Portsmouth round of the BA Postal League saw a convincing win for Arundown against Stourbridge Company of Archers by 2686 to 2447.

The Arundown team score comprised:

• Will Martin 545
• Hamish Matheson 538
• Rod Brown 535
• Pip Tucknott 515

So with one round of this year's competition to shoot, we have three wins and one loss for a total of ten points. It looks as though we are tied in first place with Harlequin Bowmen A and Nethermoss, so final placings in our division could be decided by total scores from the five rounds. Please make every effort to turn out for the final round in March.

Following January's win in the Frostbite round against Harlequin Bowmen by 1425 to 1017, we scored 1416 in this month's round with the following contributions:

This proved to be enough to record another win against Rochdale Company of Archers B, who scored 901.

This result leaves Arundown with three wins and a loss for a total of nine points in the Frostbite round. Due to the walkover conceded to Malden Bowmen in November, even a win against division leaders Thanet AC (four wins from four for 12 points) next month will probably leave us languishing in third place.
