Essex County Clout 13th April

Early start and long journey. Quite a breeze at times, but not a bad day on the whole apart from two heavy showers, one in the morning, and one in the afternoon (a real blast). Everyone fairly happy with their scores considering how early it is in the season, and the effect of the showers. There was the usual jockeying for position between Russ and Jon, with Jon finishing a few points in front. A long wait for the results with lots of errors and omissions - and judging by what the Essex County people were saying, it's probably always like this, so if you're thinking of going next year expect a long day (nearly 12-hours round trip).
Liz, Graham and Jon all came first in their respective classes as Visitors - well done
