The non-stop wind and heavy gusts wiped out most competitors hopes of a decent score but there were two exceptions, Ben Green of Ditchling somehow managed to score 808, and our Doug scored 662 shooting barebow, which computed to 842 when the barebow archers' score adjustment was added.
Jon and Graham held the line with the second and third best recurve scores of the day, and Martin came up trumps as our fourth team member - this was his first Albion Match too. Rebecca shot the Junior Windsor along with two Ditchling Girls - her first competitive round, and so she's now on the way to getting a classification. Her score beat five of the adults too. The Juniors don't compete directly with each other, it's a kind of season-long postal league.
Unfortunately, for all that Ditchling won by 51 points - helped by having two barebow archers in their team, picking up 360 points in allowances. We had more hits and more golds. Ah well...
