Have-A-Go Weekend

We had to miss the Findon May Fair Revels this year, but this weekend, 1st and 2nd July, we made up the lost ground with two events.

On the Saturday Bob, Linda, Lee, Rob and Rod, helped by Colin and Robert from Shipley in their Mediaeval re-enactment gear, ran the archery stall at the Angmering Village Fair, which always has a Mediaeval theme because the Village has a Charter to hold a Fair that dates way back into the Middle Ages.

Numbers, at 60 punters, were up by one on last year, although we had to stop for quite a time when one of of the falcons from the Birds of Prey  display went missing because it was mobbed by Seagulls protecting their young. It was eventually found by GPS and came back on the wrist of one of the handlers.
On the Sunday a group of 20+ from the Southern Water Authority came over to Angmering for a 4-hour Session, and the weather couldn't have been better. Craig and his team of Rob, Lee, John, Steve, Mike, Kris and Nigel kept them busy shooting at Targets, Wands and 3-D Zombies
