Operation a Success but Patient died

As Usual, Click on the Pics to Enlarge them
Arundown hosted the Sussex Albion League Division 3 3-way Decider this Sunday, with maybe the largest number of archers shooting an outdoor Round on the Angmering Field since the last Hereford Tournament we held when we first moved to the school. There were thirty-one shooting the Albion and two juniors shooting the Short Junior Windsor.

80-yard Trudge
The shoot seemed to go well enough, but the weather turned a bit bleak after a promising start
Particular thanks to Graham for the Tea and gear maintenance, Liz for the scones and Alex for field marking.

The Shooting Line
At far right of the picture above you can see Marc in his famous Sherwood Forest cap. He shot his new longbow, and even though it was only the third time he'd used it he scored 248, very respectable when you consider Mike Rowlands of Holbrook, a very experienced Longbow man, scored 269

The Target Line

We didn't win either of our matches as most of us were a bit off-form, but that certainly didn't include Alex who scored a PB of 784 and was the second highest scoring Recurve archer, beating some Bowman-classification archers in the process. Graham scored a solid 730, but from there on down none of us exactly shone. So it looks like demotion...
Matt shot his first ever round, and because he was shooting compound-barebow got a double adjustment: 100 taken off for compound, 180 added on for barebow.
Team results: Eastbourne 3142 - Holbrook 3021 - Arundown 2844
