This is my first blog entry for Arundown AC so it's quite a momentous occasion for me. Many thanks to Krusty and Liz for tinkering under the bonnet to get this first blog of mine off the ground.
I really enjoyed the Sussex Champs on July 10th.. the weather was lovely.. a slight following breeze. Although I still did put up my little tent which looked so diddy alongside some of the motor-homes on the shooting line.
I was fortunate that both Liz and Alex were able to make the shoot too with Rod also loitering around eating ice cream. Yes I did spot him enjoying one but sadly I did not manage to get one myself. Rod also did the scoring for the match. Thanks for that Rod.
On my target was Dwight Hagley (RC) from London Southfields, I have shot with him before in London. Chris Ellis (LB) from High Weald, and Terry Maskell (C) from Hellingly.
It was convenient to share the two scopes that were on the line. This was very useful as it saved a lot of time.
Our own Alex was on the next target to me. He says he had a good shoot and enjoyed the day. On one of the photo's I managed to capture one of his arrows leaving the bow.
Well done to our Liz who scooped up the 2nd place LB.. just pipped to the post but Liz did have more hits and more golds than the winner. Well done Liz...!! Superb shooting..
Apologies for the photo's being out of order.. but you get the jist.. I hope.. now some commercials..

Nice one Stevie. You may think your target companion Dwight is big, but did you see mine - Steve Purkiss - from Saturday? If you look at the picture you took of me with my camera, Steve P is on the shooting line, he's the second white hat from the right side of the picture, compare his size with the person on his left.
